Food to try in Macau
This summer one of my Asian cities I stopped at was Macau. If you’re strolling down the streets of Macau you will notice there are many pastry stores selling Portugese tarts (they look like egg tarts).

Taste of Danforth 2009
Taste of Danforth is on again! For those who don’t know, the Taste of Danforth is…
The taste of Danforth is where crazyChiquita and I first met two years ago, but since she was on a flight from Japan to Toronto, she had to miss out this year. It’s pretty much the same each year but there’s so much food available, there’s no way you can try them all with just one visit. |

Salad King Review – Downtown Toronto
Salad King is a Thai restaurant in downtown that has been running for many years now. I was surprised to hear that crazyChiquita has never tried it before so we made it a mission for her to try it at least once. Everytime I bring her to try the restaurant, they seem to be always close. So one night after the Winter City Festival event, when we confirmed that the resturant was opened, it was finally time for crazyChiquita to step foot into Salad King. Going on a Friday night at 8:30 pm, there was a ridiculous line up that streched all the way into the freezing cold street. Normally, I would just eat at another place but since we made it a mission, we stuck it out until we got a cramped spot at the end of some table. |

Gilead Cafe Review – Downtown Toronto
Updated – February 14, 2008 – see update below. During the hunt for the best poutine in town, I found many blogs/reviews referring to Gilead Cafe. Excited to try this highly praised cafe, crazyDiva and I head downtown to see if it lives up to the hype. Located in the King St East district (4 Gilead Place), the cafe is quietly tucked away in a small ally. |
