I have been waiting for a cheap netbook with good keyboard for web browsing and light applications..

Heard these headphones have very good sounds. Wasn’t paying any attention to them at $300+, but now at $150, it’s definitely worth a look.

Always wanted to mount my GPS on my dash instead of the windshield, although there are cheaper versions online, I can easily return this one if I don’t like it.

My old card reader broke, plus I like the black and red color on this one.

I have been eyeing this camera since its release. Although this package can be found at Aden’s Camera for the same price, they don’t have a return policy and Future Shop does.

Who couldn’t use a HD camcorder to record naughty videos?

Every year before Boxing Day, I always claim “I need a 60′ HD TV!”. Maybe this year will be it, $1800 for a 58′ that has a very good image quality, super tempting!

A) I refuse to buy a inkjet where I will be wasting all my money on ink

B) I need to make beautiful posters/printouts for my classroom

This colour printer is the best investment I have made since I have started teaching.  One major flaw was that when I went to buy it at bestbuy the store clerk had to go get a big guy to help us get it down and when I got to my car it wouldn’t fit!!!  Yes it didn’t fit in my trunk, front seat or back seat by a mere 1-2 cm.  I had to take it apart in the parking lot since bestbuy already closed by the time I tried to figure out how I was going to get the printer home.  After opening the box I noticed that the company could have done a better job at creating a box that would fit into a “regular” sized vehicle.  So the downfall of the printer is it’s size and how heavy it is.  I couldn’t lift it myself.  Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Finally… after being leaked by nerds all over the internet, Sony officially announced the Playstation 3 Slim. The new design got rid of the finger print attracting cover, and replaced it with a matte coating. The Slim is around half the thickness. Gone are the touch sensitive buttons which was replaced with spring button instead. The Slim will be priced at $299 which will put it at the same price point as Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Elite. The war is on!

I am not liking the new design. The matte coating makes it look like cheap plastic and the ugly spring buttons do not help.  I would rather keep my fat PS3 with the PS2 chipset still intacted.  The new PS3 Slim will have no PS2 compatibility.

Kenneth (bishopkenwalker@gmail.com) even went as far as chatting with me via google talk to confirm that he wanted the product for his “bella”. The next morning I received two emails from paypal saying that a payment of $190 has been made to my account but the funds are on-hold until I confirm the tracking number for the shipment. Mistake number two! Paypal does not work like that and will not hold your funds from your account. Plus, who would pay $190 for a two-year old digital camera?

I was on my way to the airport so I just skimmed the email quickly at first and didn’t even think twice about it. Mistake number three! I didn’t even read the email carefully or check the sender’s address! I did make a mental note to check my paypal account later though.

At this point, I was pretty happy about my soon-to-be-completed sale. I even bragged about it to crazyC and crazyPyxo, until crazyC sends me this link about Nigerian internet scammers! Good thing no harm was done and we all got a good laugh out of it, thanks to crazyC and his worldliness.

Damn you scammers!! I’ll get you back one day! I have your address!

The Nigerian scammers are at it again and have sent me an FBI warning from paypal because I did not ship out their item. The email is funny because all the names are wrong, the grammer is wrong, and they even put their fake email address!

How do you show your love for the best gaming console ever? By buying their branded shoes of course! As reported by IGN, Heely is releasing a pair of shoes with designs based on the Xbox 360 system. Other then the fact that the Xbox logo has storbing lights, the shoe does not interact with the gaming system at all. Kind of a disappointing since they do cost 12 times the price of the console at $2500. Now if anyone wants to buy me a pair, I will fashionably sport it for you

Looks like someone in Russia has too much time on their hands.  After being inspired by the movie, they constructed a fully working PC encased in a homemade Wall-E case.  Even though the movie sucked, this case is pure 100% awesomeness.  Made from sheet metal and 18 days of labor, they constructed one of the best case I have seen so far.  Go to the original site for all the photos on how the Wall-E PC was build.

For the sake of trading lens, I have decided to stick with Canon since most of my friends have the same brand. After many, many, many, many hours of reviews, it was between the 40D or the Xsi. In the end, the smaller size, lighter weight, and most importantly, the lower price pushed me towards the Xsi. It was finally delivered today and my excitement burst through the roof!

The deal was the Xsi camera with the 18-55mm IS lens kit + Lowepro camera bag + battery grip + extra battery (for a total of 2) for $699.99 CDN at Best Buy. I also ordered the “Nifty Fifty” or the “Plastic Fantastic” (50mm f/1.8 II lens) for $120 based on recommendations from many blogs/reviews/forums. Yes… that is a lot of money, guess no more shopping for me for the rest of this year.

So the long awaited NXE launched two days ago (Nov 19)! I have been waiting for it ever since it was featured in E3 (Side note: M$ stole the entire E3 show announcing FFXIII for the 360. My initial reaction was “OMGWTFBBQ!”. The news was so big it crashed NeoGAF for a few hours! I feel sorry for the Nintendo kiddies and their pathetic E3 showing. When will they realize their Wii (your wanna-be gaming machine aka Gamecube 1.1) is made for toddlers who still watches Barney!)

Despite my disgust in Nintendo, you can’t help the fact that M$ stole the whole Mii idea, wrapped it more polygons, and presented it as their own avatar system. I guess M$ is just doing what they are best at, stealing other people’s idea and improving on it. Regardless, building your avatar on the XBOX 360 is many times more fun then waving your hands like a retard, trying to put your Mii together.

I would have to say, I am really enjoying NXE. Not only do the menus load faster, but the interface is also easier to use. Stolen idea #2, the PSP and PS3 menu hierarchy. You scroll your main menu up and down (vs Sony’s left and right) and the side menu left and right (vs Sony’s up and down). Hey, at least they tried to disguise it by swapping the order around. Props to them!

The best improvement would have to be the guide button. The lag is gone when you open the menu mid game, and all the menu features are just a few clicks away.

What a nice freebie M$ gave us. Now if only Netflix movie streaming was available in Canada…. then everything would be perfect. To all the whiners who complained about paying $70 a year for xbox live, all I have to say is, you get what you pay for, so don’t be jealous.
