April 4, 2009 was the Ching Ming Festival, so traditionally, all Chinese families will visit their ancestors’ graves to pay their respects. Our grandparents’ ashes reside at the Yuen Yuen Institute in Tsuen Wan, so from Ma Wan we took the ferry to Tsuen Wan early in the morning. The day started with a breakfast at some HK style cafe in the Tsuen Wan market. It looks to be somewhat famous or something cause there was a big lineup outside. Good thing it didn’t take that long.

Earth Hour on March 28, 2009

This Saturday will you be taking part in Earth Hour? Last year Toronto was able to drop the electricity by 8.7 percent during earth hour. CrazyChiquitas was at her BFF’s house and turned off all the lights and even the tv! CrazyPyxo do you think you will be able to turn off your computer and your games for one hour? Earth Hour starts at 8:30 in Toronto!

CrazyChiquita and her friends decicded to celebrate St. Paddy’s day by heading over to an Irish bar for some green beer and Irish Grub. CrazyChiquita headed into the Unicorn pub at Mt. Pleasant and Eglinton to find out that it was packed and there were no seats!!! So she headed over to Scruffy Murphys (known for their nachos) and little did she know there’d be a line up and a cover charge at 5:30pm. |

Roses, Chocolates, Love and Romance are a few words that pop into my head on Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day can be a day that singles detest and become depressed however, CrazyChiquita thinks we forget the real meaning behind this day. As a young child you gave cards to friends and people you cared about. Why can’t we do the same as we age? CrazyChiquita made 3 cards for her close single friends.

A new record to look forward to?

CrazyChiquita was disappointed by Jose Calderon not making the free throw record. However, she has found a new record that can be potentially broken in Toronto this winter. Although she is not looking forward to it at all it’s the snowfall accumulation for Toronto. This Winter Toronto has had 137cm of snow, and last year 194cm. CrazyChiquita cannot believe she had to come back from Japan to this after only 2 snowfalls in 3 winters!!! Toronto is nearing towards the record of 206cm of snow from 1939. Bundle up, and try some mulled wine when you get home, you may enjoy it more than the hot chocolate!  CrazyChiquita dreaming of being at the beach. |
