Toronto Poker Challenge Session #5 & 6
|
So it’s been awhile since I’ve gone out to shoot some cards. I recently found a new location downtown across from Brant House. It’s a great location. I do have several issues with this place though. The first one and probably the most important is thier security. It’s probably one of the least secure places I’ve seen in a long time. Let me show you a picture of the door, it’s similar to the one below. Yes, that is a piece of plywood. Any 5′3″, 100LBS thug could kick that down. |

Toronto Earth Hour Pictures – Epic Fail
|
I recently went to the Boston Globe to see if there were any new updates for my favorite NFL team the Patriots and I found an interesting article on Earth Hour. Toronto was definately the worst city out of them all. Total Epic fail. I think what, 3 people decided to turn thier lights off. Very embarassing. Before |

Where did crazyPyxo go?
|
Oh where oh where did pyxo go? I think it’s been several weeks since he’s last posted. I’m questioning his whereabouts. Let me write that in big bold letters.
I have several theories. |

More 2/2!!! I really don’t remember how it all went down. I was at the table for about 1.5 hours and I scooped a cool 400. It started like any night. I received pocket 8’s on the button. The flop was 2.6.J with a flush draw. The big blind bet out 10 bucks, I called. Turn was a brick, the big blind bet out 10 again I called. River was another J. The big blind bets out 20, I called .. he mucks … Another hand I had AA. I raised 16 preflop. Somehow I got 5 callers … that was crazy. Long story short, my AA’s stood up against both flush draws ^_^. That’s all for now. I’m back in the positive. I’m currently up $30 in my goal to reach 15k |

Found this article. This is seriously kids having kids. Sorta disturbing to me. Secondly, the girl is a beast .. and she must have some type of mental problem. Thirdly, what do parents do in this situation … |

Toronto Poker Challenge – Session #2
|
A lesson in Implied Odds & Solid No Mistakes Play. So here we go. This is session two. Chinese New Year was just around the corner, so I wanted to venture out to test my luck for the new year. By luck, I really mean skills. Once again, the loose and fun 2/2 venue would be my destination. This time, I brought along a buddy of mine. He claims to be an intellectual and a sound poker player. I’ve played with him on several occasions. I definitely disagree with him on his view points on playing No Limit Hold’em. He seems to have it in his head that somehow you have an infinite bankroll and time and he bases his game on that premise. |

Toronto Poker Challenge – Session #1
|
So as I mentioned in my earlier post, I’m trying a 15K challenge. That’s right, for 2009 I am going to attempt to have 15K in profits from my skillful Poker Play. Let’s talk about my first session. I decided to head out to play some 2/2 NL. I arrived early, and the game hadn’t started yet. I typically don’t like to wait for a game to start; I mean, I’m not a house player, so why should I bother to wait. Anyway, it was a quick wait, and within 10 minutes, the game was going strong. I had strategically seated myself between my “see fu” and a solid rock player. Being in the middle of the two meant I could easily get out of hands, or not get into tricky situations. |
